I love creating characters, making worlds, telling stories and I hope to share these with all of you.

My name is Danté Lekagane. I’m an artist currently working out of the Eastern Cape SA. Art started as just a hobby. This changed after I took art classes in highschool. From there it grew into a passion, something I strove to improve in and share with others. Later in highschool I earned pocket money doing small commissions for my classmates and other friends.

Between 2023 and 2024 I sold several artworks through commissions and online sales. I put my work up for display at a market in Jeffreys Bay and attended two other exhibitions since then.

Over time I’ve learned to use a variety of mediums and my style never quite stays the same. I’ve done work using inks, markers, colour pencils, acrylics, and watercolour paints. My work, inspired by comics and cartoons, focuses on people and occasionally includes environments. I like creating colourful, lively illustrations that tell a story and I readily share these stories with others
